Karachi: The 60th Post Graduate Diploma Course participants from National Institute of Labor Administration Training accompanied by DG Prof, Noor ul Hadi, paid a study visit to the Export Processing Zones Authority. On the occasion, Secretary EPZA, Engineer Nasir Hidayat Khan gave a briefing on the functions and operations of the Authority.
During the visit to EPZA, The course participants were briefed on the various activities of EPZA achievements and future plans of the organization in expanding trade for the country. The delegation was informed that more than 40,000 workers and technically skilled are working in the Karachi zone.
It is significant that 70% of women are working diligently in various fields which is a source of appreciation not only for the industrial units but also for the organization. EPZA is playing vital role in providing of employment opportunities in the country.
To enforce EPZA Labor Laws 2009, the Department of Labor is also established in EPZA, which plays every possible role for the labor welfare and jobs security.
Later on, the participants also visited the industrial units of Karachi Export Processing Zone.
