ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has formed larger bench for hearing PTI’s petition against the decision of the Election Commission in the Prohibited Funding case.

 

Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq heard the petition of PTI against the decision of the Election Commission in the Prohibited Funding Case in which Barrister Anwar Mansoor and Faisal Chaudhry appeared on behalf of PTI.

Justice Amir Farooq said that a larger bench will be formed to hear this application, the larger bench will hear the case the day after tomorrow.PTI’s lawyer Anwar Mansoor said in arguments that we have challenged the fact-finding report of the Election Commission, which was clarified by the Supreme Court in the Hanif Abbasi case.

Anwar Mansoor said that it was not necessary to disclose the accounts due to various reasons, the money has gone from here so it was not necessary to disclose it in the accounts of the provinces.

Anwar Mansoor pleaded that no action should be taken to the extent of show cause notice, on which the court said that this matter will also be heard by a larger bench. The court adjourned the hearing till August 18, directing the case to be fixed before a larger bench.
