Islamabad: FIA has arrested seven suspects under the human trafficking laws on the complaint of US Embassy here in Islamabad.

According to the details, issued by FIA at least five suspects, namely Shamrid Khan, Ali Hamza, Mohammad Usman, Zain Ali, and Abdul Atiq, appeared for the visa interview at the US Embassy.

The accused made false statements to obtain the visa. During the interview, the accused revealed they paid Rs 4 million to agents Imtiaz Hussain and Bilal Ahmed for US immigration.

Afterwords, The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad of FIA arrested seven suspects, including two agents. A case was registered against the arrested accused under the Immigration Ordinance.

Director FIA Islamabad Zone Abdul Jabbar said that citizens should ensure that their documents are genuine and verified for obtaining any visa. Applicants will face prosecution if they obtain a visa through forged documents or misrepresentation.
