KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization of the Preventive Collectorate and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) have seized Rs 450 million worth of drugs during a joint operation and seven foreign suspects were arrested.

The commander of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), Salman, while talking to the media, said that joint action against the smugglers was conducted with the Customs.

He revealed that the action was taken jointly upon an information provided by the Customs about an attempt to smuggle drugs through a boat in the deep seas.

He further said that seven smugglers have also been arrested in this operation and action were being taken against them under the Customs Act.

It is learned that the arrested accused were not from Pakistan were being interrogated to trace the local smugglers at their back.
